I wrote a post a little while back featuring some very pretty garden sheds in which I included a couple that were actually chicken coops. Since then I have come across so many more architecturally interesting chicken coops that I wanted to share them here.
What used to only be reserved for the country is now a growing urban hobby. With coops so attractive and compact almost anyone can now have chickens in their backyard.
At first sight this one doesn’t look all that fancy or impressive. But wait till you look inside…
Those are some lucky chickens, they even have a chandelier!

Karen from the Art of doing stuff very impressively built this beautiful chicken coop herself. It looks like it belongs on the grounds of an old estate, love the lanterns.
For all you modernists at heart, here are some modern creations for you (and the chickens) to enjoy.
This designer created a multi level (chicken) home with a view.
This couple built a great little cube house for their small feathered friends.
After seeing all of these cool coops, it makes me want to get some chickens.
